matthavard: It'll be up to them to accept the pull or not, but there's no reason not to if it's a codebase you use. I had a weird situation that was the opposite: I applied for a job at a company, was rejected, and three months later they e-mailed the mailing list for one of my open source projects. The irony was palpable. ;)
