oh...gfw uses a clickonce wrapper. Git binaries are installed under %localappdata%\github\portablegit_*. The location changes with each update, so you'd have to update your path automatically on every update, which is why I use git-scm for command-prompt access

Any info/ETA on student developer pack approvals? I applied back in November. I'm not in any particular hurry, but the website still says "Your wait time could be a few weeks"
