[2017-04-26T18:56:47Z] apetresc Okay, this is still great progress, thanks Seveas :)
[2017-04-26T18:54:25Z] apetresc Or is there a better pinentry program I should be using?
[2017-04-26T18:53:57Z] apetresc So now the question is why /usr/local/bin/pinentry-mac isn't working all of a sudden
[2017-04-26T18:53:39Z] apetresc Okay this is promising
[2017-04-26T18:53:37Z] apetresc It used to work, hmm, but maybe I was doing something different
[2017-04-26T18:53:28Z] apetresc It fails now with: gpg: signing failed: no pinentry
[2017-04-26T18:53:20Z] apetresc Never mind
[2017-04-26T18:53:18Z] apetresc Oh wait...
[2017-04-26T18:52:20Z] apetresc And always worked before
[2017-04-26T18:52:17Z] apetresc Which is still there
[2017-04-26T18:52:13Z] apetresc my key has a passphrase, which I have configured in the gpg-agent.conf to use /usr/local/bin/pinentry-mac to grab
[2017-04-26T18:51:45Z] apetresc Oh, one piece of information that is relevant:
[2017-04-26T18:51:28Z] apetresc I just wish there was a way to get some sort of return code or stderr from gpg when git invokes it...
[2017-04-26T18:50:52Z] apetresc They're symlinked to each other, but nope, it's set to gpg (which is the 2.1.0 binary)
[2017-04-26T18:50:18Z] apetresc The exact same version is working with the same set of dotfiles on Linux, so I'm pretty sure it's not incompatible
[2017-04-26T18:49:45Z] apetresc It's 2.1.0
[2017-04-26T18:42:00Z] apetresc anyone have any idea what might've changed, or how I would go about debugging this? (not a lot to go on based on the error message I'm seeing)
[2017-04-26T18:41:44Z] apetresc So, starting like 2 weeks ago, I've been unable to do GPG signing on git commits anymore; whenever I try to commit, I just get "error: gpg failed to sign the data". It worked for like a year before this without issue, gpg binary is still there and healthy, GPG_TTY is set properly, and this exact same set of dotfiles works fine in Linux, it's just on macOS that it decided to fall over and die 2 weeks ago...
