ha yes, I've been doing that personally for awhile.. but given that this is a public project, I'm wondering if it is common practice that when downloading master you are downloading the latest stable version

I currently work off of dev branch and master branch is my stable... but thinking about whether what I should be doing is making a branch for the current version and master representing the latest stable bleeding edge
